Yet Is He There

Yet-Is-He-ThereAs we walk under a lesser light
Yet is He there
Yet is He there

As the night with darkness brings despair
Yet is He there
Yet is He there

Loneliness, shadows, sickness, death
Yet is He there
Yet is He there

Seek in Him for meaning there
Yet is it there
Yet is it there

Our Example, our Teacher, our Savior there
Yet is He there
Yet is He there

Here’s a look at my Christmas piece for this year about the Savior offering Himself to us. My newborn, baby Jack, was a wonderful model for the Babe of Bethlehem. If you’d like to read the full message of the piece, head on over to Drawing Faith, my personal blog. Merry Christmas!

Walking on the Sea

Brando here. I’ve always wanted to do an image that was so long you had to scroll waaaaaaay down to see the whole thing! Ta-da! Mission accomplished. At the very bottom here you can see Lophelia Pertusa, cartoony-style—a deep water coral that is tree-ish in form. Okay, I know I’m pushing it here. That’s not quite a tree. But I do think this is a sweet way to do an undersea landscape (not to mention the Savior walking up there against the cloudscape—a twofer perhaps?). So you might say I’m skirting this challenge’s requirements, or you could say I went above and beyond. You decide. I hope you enjoy the experience either way.

If you’d like to read about the meaning behind this one, head on over to my art & faith blog, Drawing Faith. Have a great day 😉
